HOMEMADE GARAM MASALA RECIPE

Garam masala is the most commonly used masala in indian cooking, It has different recipes across the India a simple basic one to a hot spicy pungent strong masala. The most common spices used is cloves, cumin and cardamom.
According to some nutritionists "garam masala has got sum number of health benefits , since their r number of recipes the health benefits vary,according to the recipe ,just a half table spoon is enough to flavor entire curry ".
let's discusses the health benefits after the recipe.

EASY HOME MADE GARAM MASALA

INGREDIENTS

Coriander seeds/ daniya -1 cup[240 ml]
Cloves/ lavang - 6 pieces
Cinnamon stick/ dalchini chakka- 4 inch
Green cardamoms/ elachi -8 pieces
Cumin/jeera - 1 tbsp
pepper/ miriyalu -1 tbsp
Fennel seeds/saunf -2 tsp
Bay leaf/tejpatta - 1 leaf

RECIPE TO MAKE

1.Clean the spices thoroughly check for worms and stones and discard them
2. Dry roast coriander seeds lightly in a heavy bottom pan, add all other ingredients except cumin on a medium flame.

3. Switch off, then add cumin and toss till cumin warm up,
4. Allow it to cool then powder them in a dry jar and sieve
5. Store masala in a air tight jar for 1 month with out refrigeration, several months in refrigeration
